I have never had good luck ordering items...never get the right items, frustrating reordering and waiting again. Associates run the other way when they know you need help. Some are helpful but they are rare. Ask where something is located and get wrong info.
Don't have a $59.99 leaf blower/mulcher in stock. They will special order it and therefore will have to deliver from store for $79. Unbelievable, why can't I pick it up from store? You have lost my business. Home Depot is only 15 minutes away.
Then they had the nerve to call and try and backpedal, trying to say they left a message that was "maybe he'll be there..." No you didn't Lowes, you screwed up and when I was in the store in person today I just kept seeing bad management all over. Inventories were off, for example, in the garden section where I watched a customer charged for multch the computer told the cashier they had 50 of when they had none as another associate informed her. The solution? Take another one, it'll only affect inventory. If you know what you need and where to look for it I suppose it's fine, but don't trust their staff to have it together if you don't.
Lowe's is generally a good store their lumber quality is not the best but overall the store is decent the household store sucks the customer service is in the crapper and don't let them plane your projects or material lists they never get it right sorry Lowe's but honestly it's true
The store stock is not maintained properly. Many stock locations were empty, but there was plenty in top stock. Many stock locations had the wrong product in that location or had wrong products mixed with correct products for that stock location. There doesn't seem to be enough employees to take care of the store and customers simultaneously, and some of the employees seem more interested in avoiding the customer to continue what they are doing than helping the customer. Much of my poor Lowe's experience could be due to the company trying to make more money by keeping staffing levels too low. I have been to four different Lowe's in the last month, and they all have this problem to varying degrees. Their big box competitor doesn't seem to have such a big problem in this area, so I'm hesitant to blame the employees. The problem must be management or company set staffing levels.
Had an in home visit scheduled to get an estimate on a roofing job. The specialist that was to come by never kept the appointment, nor was I called. I had a confirmation call for the date and time in advance too. When I called their customer service for the AWOL estimator they called his store in Big Flats, NY and the manager there pushed it off on me. I was left with the no show specialist's phone number because it's apparently my job to harangue his employee. Staff regularly seems disinterested in general, if Home Depot were not on the other side of Corning I'd shop there when I couldn't find what I was after locally.
